NEW! A National Group for the Hampshire Genealogical Society

Following on from this year’s success of the International Group we wanted to establish a similar group for our members who do not live in Hampshire.

We felt this was particularly important as many of our Area Groups are returning to face-to-face meetings and it would mean that many of our members who do not live in Hampshire would not have the opportunity to join in with these meetings. During the last 18 months many members who do not live in Hampshire have been able to attend as many online meetings via Zoom as they wished and have been able to forge connections with fellow members with whom they share ancestors.

The new group will be known as the National Group and online meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of every other month at 7.30pm. We will be online, though, from 7.00pm to give everyone an opportunity to share their skills and expertise and maybe help to break down some brickwalls. We have an exciting programme of speakers for next year and the first talk will be on Wednesday 5th January.

For further information about this Group, go to the newly-added National Group page.  You will find details of forthcoming meetings and be able to contact the Group Co-Organisers, Fiona Ranger and Kay Lovell.
