NEW! An International Group at Hampshire Genealogical Society

We are very excited to share some good news. Having turned to Zoom to hold Group meetings and our AGM last year, we have reached not just our out-of-county members but also members from as far afield as Australasia and North America who have managed to attend regardless of the time differences!

We are proud to say that, as our membership stretches all around the globe, we decided it was time to give those, who do not live in the UK, their own meeting opportunities and so we have created the International Group.  We are now in contact with our members overseas and have invited them to register their interest.   We are conscious that time zones will affect these meetings but hope to alleviate this by alternating the timings: a UK Saturday morning for our Australasia affiliates and, for those Stateside, a UK evening meeting.  Where meetings can be recorded, we will make those recordings available to the other members at a suitable time.

The International Group programme will primarily offer talks about the county of Hampshire featuring people, places and historical events.  We will also, on occasion, focus on general records relating to England and Wales.  Our first meeting is to be staged on the morning of Saturday 6th February 2021 at 10.00 GMT.

For further information about this Group, go to the newly-added International Group page.  You will find details of forthcoming meetings and be able to contact the Group Co-Organisers, Fiona Ranger and Kay Lovell.
