Portsmouth Group

7:15 pm - 9:30 pm

I served for 30 years as a police officer in the Hampshire Constabulary. On retirement I became a part time historian, working as an archivist in the Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum in Winchester. I also work as an education guide at the Beaulieu motor museum taking school groups around the collection. I work part time as a battlefield guide taking groups to the Somme, Ypres and Normandy. This is extremely rewarding as often I am taking people back to the locations where their relatives served. I graduated from the Open University in 2018 with a BA (Hons) in History. I am now plodding through a masters degree with the OU in local history studies.
