The Long Sutton village booklet (VB075) by researcher Roy Montgomery is an excellent and comprehensive exploration of this Hampshire village and the parish of All Saints.

Long Sutton is situated 7 miles west of Farnham and 3 miles south of Odiham. To the north it is bounded by RAF Odiham airfield.

Settlements here date back to at least Saxon times. The Terry family are long lasting and prominent residents dating back to 1480 and their family tree is held in the Hampshire Record Office. Parish records show they were still resident in the eighteenth century.

References to Long Sutton documents, records and photographs held at the Hampshire Record Office are given throughout, together with useful website addresses for more information.

The booklet includes a map and is packed with historical information about churches, schools and contiguous parishes. Numerous local surnames including those of  landowners, priests, farmers, inn keepers and school masters are also included. This booklet is a valuable resource for anyone with ancestors from the area or who plan to visit the village.
