Following retirement from a 40-year career as a physicist Colin developed an interest in family and local history research concentrating particularly on the former. Colin has contributed articles to national and local family history magazines; gives talks on family history research and historical subjects and run a course for beginners to family history. Since moving to Romsey Colin has been a member of Romsey U3A genealogy group, leading it for 12 years; he is also closely involved with Romsey Local History Society and have served as a committee member for seven years.
